Our Vision

The Trust holds the vision that it can contribute to and help create a more balanced and positive media in the future and facilitate better communication between people in all countries, races and cultures.

Global News Education Trust works to give young people a platform to express their own ideas for a more positive and sustainable future. We help young, would-be journalists to research, report and publish their own ‘positive’ news stories.

We aim to invoke a shift in thinking. We facilitate a network of people to share ideas and solutions for positive social and environmental change and champion young people who want to be part of that change.

One of the ways the Trust hopes to do this is by providing apprenticeship and training opportunities for young people who hope to work in the media by exposing them to solutions as well as problems. Through this, we build their confidence and give them a voice to address the considerable challenges of a rapidly changing world.
