Our People

Young People

Young people are central to the Trust's work. Our apprentices form the Youth Team at Positive Youth News and they manage all aspects of Positive Youth News from reporting, writing the articles, editing; producing and promoting the paper and the Positive Youth News website at www.positiveyouthnews.org.uk.

They have been developing a network of Positive Youth News Journalists from the UK and abroad who contribute stories to the paper and the website and to the e-zine Global Village News and Resources (www.gvnr.com).

Our Youth Team deliver training and inspire other young people in schools; youth groups; events; gatherings and conferences.

Staff

The Trust has no paid staff but does provide bursaries for young people to undertake apprenticeships as Positive Youth News Journalists and Editorial and Production Assistants under the guidance and mentorship of colleagues at Positive News Publishing Ltd. (a not-for-profit company).

Our Trustee board is comprised of highly committed individuals with a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience gained in the fields of youth work, education and journalism.
